The Lions Club of Burnside - 2012 our 50th year

Burnside Lions members welcome all people from a wide background of occupations, cultures and age.

We have in common, the desire to make our local Community, our State, our Country and our World a better place to live.

As members of a Lions Club, we have opportunities to do many things as a group we can't achieve alone.  Together with other Lions Clubs in our State, our Country and the World we have a unique opportunities to make a difference to the lives of others.

We give to the Club whatever we can manage in time, labour and means - remembering that the demands of our families and careers always take precedence.

We have opportunity to develop our skills in leadership, management and public speaking by volunteering for the many and varied tasks that come our way.

We have the opportunity to present our own ideas to a like minded group and we get the chance to follow our ideas up with action.

We have fun.  Not all the activities are just related to work.  There is a varied social programme in which we and our families and friends can also participate.

We network with other Lions throughout Australia and in many Countries throughout the World.

  • Environment
  • Christmas Cakes and Puddings
  • Lions Mints
