Carols in the Park 2017
Celebrating our 27th year of involvement in organizing this popular Community event!
Carols this year will be held in Hazelwood Park, North of the Swimming Centre on Sunday, 3rd December commencing at 6.15pm with a prelude to the Carols provided by the Burnside Youth Concert Band, conducted by John Lee.
Stalls will be operating from 6.00pm so bring chairs, rugs or a picnic tea and enjoy the Park while our young people provide some enjoyable entertainment.
The Community Singing and entertainment will start at 7.00pm. The evening will be compered by ever popular Bruce Raymond with The Award Winning, Tanunda Town Band. Our two regular choirs, The Cantabile Singers and the Marryatville High School Junior Choir will also help us keep in tune. Community Singing will take us all through 13 of the most popular Carols while Cantabile will sing the Hallelujah Chorus to complete the night.
Father Christmas will arrive near the Interval and be available to hear children's requests for Christmas.
The Burnside C.F.S. will cook a "Sausage Sizzle".
Tea/Coffee, Lions Christmas Cake, Cool drinks and Gelato will also be for sale.
There is No charge for entry, but the sale of Electronic Candles, bracelets and any donation you can make for the FREE Programme will assist the Lions to defray the cost of the evening. Please Buy!

Donation Christmas Trees
In conjunction with the Burnside Village Shopping Centre and the City of Burnside, Christmas trees are erected in the foyer of the Council Chambers and outside of the Coles Supermarket inside the Burnside Village Shopping Centre.
At both locations the public are requested to donate non perishable food items and gifts for young children.
Club members are rostered to collect these gifts from the Christmas trees and deliver them to a number of aid agencies in Adelaide, including Anglicare, Uniting Care Wesley and St Lukes Mission for distribution to needy families for some festive cheer.
Anyone who has suitable items but cannot visit these Trees, and you live within or close to the Burnside Council area, we can collect such items and ensude delivery to one of the above agencies.
