"Burnside Lions Bargain Centre" Sales
The Lions Club of Burnside "Bargain Centre" SALE
For our monthly Sale located at the corner of Glebe Road and Portrush Road, (opposite the Fire Station), Glen Osmond on the First Saturday of Each Month.
ALL PROCEEDS PRIMARILY SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITIES
Our Club will collect any good, clean saleable items or you can deliver to our depot on Wednesday mornings between 9.30am and 12.00noon or during the same hours on Sale Days.
Item we can handle at present include:-
Tools, Fiction Books, bric-a-brac, China, Kitchen Wares, Electrical goods in working order (Not computers or Printers), Toys & Games, Manchester, Clothing and Footware. C.Ds, DVDs, Records, Collectables & Paintings.
We can not, at this stage handle and store large items of Furniture and Beds - as a guideling, small items that can fit into a domestic motor vehicle.
The clothing section has been greatly enhanced by two of our newer Members who are experienced in the "Fine Clothing" trade. At least one is always available to assist with your purchase and there is a small, but adequate changeroom with full length mirror to 'try before you buy.'
Donations of these goods are both needed and welcomed from the public, collected by the Lions members, sorted, stored and sold at Glen Osmond Shed each month.
Donations can be delivered to the Centre at times listed below.

We also collect used Eye Glasses and Hearing aids, see under "projects for collection centres, recycling them using Sight and Hearing volunteer professionals, to benefit under-priviledged in remote aboriginal lands and in neighbouring countries. These items can be brought to our monthly Garage Sale or for local collection, ring Bob 0407 716 928
If you wish to aid our "Stamp Collection" of used stamps, cut them from the envelopes (leave a 3mm border around the stamps) and deliver to our shed - these are sorted and sold to raise funds in order to donate Walking Aids through the "Lions Mobility Foundation" and NOVITA to disabled children. Collection Bin alongside the Glasses bin in the Shed.
The Club also runs a sausage sizzle to provide morning tea (and even breakfast) to the hungry customers and the Lions members on garage sales days. Sausage with onion with sauces & mustard $2.50, Tea, Coffee $2 & Lions Cake Slices $2 ea.
This is the Club's major fund raising activity.
